Before the next backyard cookout, check both the grill and the cleaning brush. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced two separate July 2026 recalls involving Cuisinart-branded grilling products imported by Conair.
The newer recall, announced July 9, covers about 12,660 Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills with pizza ovens in the United States, plus about 83 sold in Canada. CPSC says the tempered glass window in the pizza oven can shatter during use, creating a laceration hazard.
A second recall, announced July 2, covers about 1,719,995 Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes. CPSC says small metal bristles can detach, stick to the grill or food, and create an ingestion hazard that could require surgery.
Do this first
- Stop using the recalled grill if you have model CGG-6331. CPSC says the model number and serial number are on a label inside the right-hand metal door.
- Check the brush model or set. The brush recall includes CCB-100, CCB-4125, CCB-5014, CCB-6450, CCB-8012, CCB-4114, CCB-W2 and CSBS-777, plus certain Cuisinart grill tool sets.
- Use Conair's recall portals for the remedy. The gas grill remedy requires checking eligibility and uploading photos of the removed glass and serial number. The brush remedy offers a refund or Cuisinart.com credit after the recalled brush is discarded.
Which products are affected
The recalled gas grill is the stainless-steel Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill with a griddle, stove top burner and pizza oven. CPSC says it was sold at Lowe's, Walmart and Cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026 for $500 to $750.
The brush recall is broader. CPSC lists metal wire bristle brushes with black plastic, stainless steel and wood handles, as well as brushes sold inside several Cuisinart grill tool sets. Distribution dates vary by model, with some products sold as far back as 2009 and others through March 2026.
Common mistakes
Do not rely on the product name alone. A grill can look similar without being part of the recall, and a brush may have been bought alone or inside a larger tool set. Check the model number, serial number, handle stamp, packaging, order history or receipt before deciding what to do next.
Why it matters
Conair has received 37 reports of shattered glass during use of the recalled gas grill, including one fire report, according to CPSC. No injuries have been reported in that recall.
For the grill brushes, Conair is aware of at least 54 reports and reviews involving detached wire bristles. CPSC says three consumers swallowed metal bristles and sought medical treatment to remove them from the digestive tract or throat.
What to check next
Use the official CPSC notices and Conair recall pages before removing parts, discarding a product or submitting photos. The gas grill notice points consumers to Conair's 3-in-1 grill recall page; the brush notice points to Conair's grill brush recall page.
If the product is not part of the recall, still inspect wire brushes closely before cooking. A bristle-free scraper, grill stone or nylon brush may reduce the risk of loose metal ending up on food.
